DNS, WITH A DIFFERENT DIRECTION

Your DNS.
A different
way through.

Give your DNS lookups a route through Tor. Torgate is a small, native macOS utility that lives in your menu bar and keeps the choice in your hands.

Get Torgate

Built for macOS. Open source. No separate Tor daemon.

A SMALL TOOL. A SPECIFIC JOB.

Torgate routes DNS lookups, not your web browsing or other app traffic. It is not a VPN.

01 / UNDER THE HOOD

Less setup.
More say in the route.

01

Tor, built in.

An embedded Arti client builds a Tor connection in the background. No separate Tor installation or SOCKS port to configure.

02

At home on your Mac.

A native menu-bar app and macOS Network Extension handle DNS forwarding. Choose when to enable it and which mode to use.

03

Two ways to run.

Enabled prefers Tor, with direct DNS fallback when Tor is unavailable or too slow. Strict uses Tor-only DNS while the proxy is running.

02 / TAKE THE NEXT ROUTE

Small app.
Deliberate choices.

A home in your menu bar.
A little more intention behind every lookup.
